The Big Island Eats

Aloha!  We have been going to the Big Island since 1981, and while many things have changed, Hawaii still has a very special place in our hearts and the prettiest sunsets ever!

Restaurants:

Many of the resorts require that you are a guest in order to dine at their restaurants, especially during high season.  But it’s always worth a try to get in if you can.

Check out Lava Lava Beach Club after a day at Hapuna Beach!

The Canoe House

Merrimans in Waimea

  • definitely worth the drive for a  special dinner, especially if you are staying up North.

If you are staying closer to Kona, a great japanese/sushi restaurant is Kenichi in the KTA shopping center.

  • Delicious and great service.  Be sure to make a reservation!

The best Poke is at Da Poke Shack, on Alii Drive

  • it’s worth the wait in line!
